The Community Geodetic Model (CGM) is one of several Community Earth Models (CEMs) developed by and for the SCEC community. It historically has consisted of GPS velocity solutions and interpolated strain rate fields, and now includes GNSS and InSAR time series from across southern California. Here we present the current status of the CGM, including the geodetic products available, which were released as the CGM version 2.0.0 in December 2023, the web viewer for access, and basics of the data formats and available readers for users. We also present some of the major findings over the period of SCEC 5, which enabled the current release to come to fruition and some recommendations based on our findings. Finally, we present critical barriers and research goals for the near- and medium-term future as we plan to combine the CGM’s products again from data towards interpolated fields and associated uncertainties, and expand geographic range statewide.
