About Me
Publications
Edric Pauk is a research programmer at the Statewide California Earthquake Center at USC. He is the lead developer for the technical infrastructure of the SCEC Community Information Systems that supports the annual SCEC Science and Collaboration Plan processes, including proposal submissions and reviews, subawards, project reporting, publications, workshops, and annual meeting registration. He contributes to SCEC science projects, collaborating with researchers and computer scientists to enable access to project information and datasets via web utilities (for example, the Community Earth Models and UGMS MCER data access tool). He also works with SCEC’s Engagement and Education group to help disseminate information about earthquake risk and preparedness to the public.
Pauk has over 20 years of experience in the technology sector. Prior to SCEC, he worked at UCLA where he built the technical and administrative framework to produce and deliver 25 new online courses to over 2,000 students per year. Previously, he worked as an engineer in the security software industry at Computer Associates International and the Orchestria Corporation in New York, developing enterprise software updates for institutional and corporate clients and leading in-house training of support personnel. Pauk received a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science from Binghamton University, State University of New York.
