Megan Mirkhanian is a Ph.D. student in the department of Environmental and Occupational Health at the University of California, Irvine, specializing in exposure assessment and respiratory protection. She holds a Master of Science degree from the department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in the department of Physical Sciences. Mirkhanian began her research for GeoGateway, a web map-based science gateway supported by NASA’s ACCESS program, at the beginning of 2018, with Professor Lisa Grant Ludwig. With the access and understanding of GeoGateway, Mirkhanian furthered her research as a SCEC Sure intern, where she explored tectonic deformation associated with recent seismic activity in the Cajon Pass region.
