Luis studied geophysical engineering at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and he obtained his B. Eng. in early 2019 to later join USC as a graduate student. Luis is working with Thomas H. Jordan on earthquake rupture forecasts. His main current interests include RSQSim simulations, UCERF3 models, and how to merge physics-based earthquake simulators with probabilistic models.
