Hi, I'm Benjamin Rosen. I'm a geology major with a math minor at California State University, Long Beach, and I'll graduate with a B.S in Geology and a Math Minor in December 2027. My interests are Geophysics, mathematics, mineral resourcing, and petrology. I'm currently working as a source SCEC Intern with Dr. Lucy Jones and Dr. Erik Frost on a project evaluating the risk of landslides in an area containing naturally occurring asbestos that could become airborne in a toxic cloud during a strong seismic event on the San Andreas Fault. I'm interested in pursuing a graduate degree in Geophysics or in Geology with a focus on Mineral Resourcing. I enjoy using advanced mathematics to solve complex geological problems.
