About Me Publications
Gisselle is a computer science student with a geology minor at California State University, Long Beach. She was an intern for the 2019 SCEC UseIT Research Internship program where she did research in high performance computing to simulate million years of earthquakes and forecasting probabilities of possible upcoming events. Gisselle’s passion for technology and science is paralleled to her fascination with multiple arts with a career goal to work in earthquake technology. Her ultimate goal is to develop technology and tools to enhance the research or understanding of seismic activity and forecasting in order to give back to her community. Gisselle is always looking for new opportunities and experiences to make an impact in current earthquake technology.
