About Me
Publications
He studies earthquake seismology and earthquake source physics mainly based on seismic observation and seismic data analysis. His interest includes the scaling of the earthquake rupture process and fault properties inferred from earthquake source parameters. Recently he applies machine learning techniques to seismological studies. He is the PI for one of the Research Topics of the MEXT STAR-E Project (2021-2026).
He served as a Board Member of the Seismological Society of Japan (SSJ) (2018-2020), the Editor-in-Chief of SSJ News Letter (2018-2020), the committee chair of the SSJ Seismological Summer School 2020, and convener of technical sessions of academic conferences including AGU Fall Meetings, SSA Annual Meeting, JpGU-AGU Joint Meetings, JpGU Annual Meetings, and SSJ Fall Meetings.
