I am an isotope geochemistry that has primary focused on the use of U-Pb geochronology to a variety of problems in Earth and Planetary Sciences. While I continue research in this an fields a major focus of my lab group has been the use and development of U-series comminution dating. My students, post-docs and I are working to improve the accuracy of this system, replacing the need to model crystal sizes and shapes with measurement of additional U-series isotopes. We've begun to investigate how particle comminution can be dated beyond glacial-fluvial settings, for example shallow faults zones.
