Prof. Jiayong Tian is from National Institute of Natural Hazards, Ministry of Emergency Management of P.R.China. After Ph.D. degree from Peking University in 2002, he joined Osaka University as JSPS fellow for two years. He is currently the Member and the secretary general of ISRM Commission on Crustal Stress and Earthquake. He focuses on the investigation of dynamic calibration of borehole tensor strainmeters and its application on strain-wave measurements and seismogenesis.
