Phoebe (she/her) coordinates internal operations from the HQ front desk, aiding the seamless collaboration between SCEC research staff and the University of Southern California. Whatever task at hand, she's ready to assist with on-the-ground support!
She oversees SCEC's physical and virtual office spaces, managing the office's Emergency and Business Continuity Plans, radomes inventory and shipping logistics, meeting and travel arrangements, taking on the occasional troubleshooting side-quest...
Now based on Tongva land, Phoebe spent her first 20 years in Lenapehoking (or so-called Pennsylvania) by way of NE Philadelphia and then Bristol Township. She has 10 years of experience working in the higher ed sphere and is especially passionate about supporting the participation of underrepresented student populations in STEM.
Before joining SCEC's Operations team, Phoebe supported SCEC interns as the REU coordinator at East LA Community College's MESA Program. She's excited to see familiar names appear as the students continue to empower and establish themselves in their respective research fields.
