Born and raised a Los Angeles California native, I now study at the University of Southern California’s Iovine and Young Academy. I am currently a rising senior and study Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation and emphasize in studying industrial design. Largely due to a live long interest in prototyping, tinkering and problem solving through physical creations, I have come to best describe myself as a designer with a STEM background. I’ve also come to have a strong interest in education in the Los Angeles area with STEM+design being the focus of my outreach at USC’s school of engineering. While the STEM fields have long been a focus of mine from childhood, I find the way in which I think about problem solving can only be improved if I was able to learn and include nontraditionally design related fields into my thought process and design methodologies.
