I am an aspiring civil engineer. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work in SCEC this summer and improve my knowledge of seismology and geology-related software in order to have more tools to succeed in my future work. I am interested in research related to minimizing risk from natural disasters such as earthquakes, through both a better understanding of the natural phenomena itself, and of the structural integrity of buildings and structures.
