The SCEC Broadband Platform (BBP) is a collaborative open-source development project involving SCEC geoscientists, civil engineers, graduate students, and the SCEC Community Modeling Environment (CME) group. It integrates complex scientific modules including rupture generators, seismogram synthesis, site effects calculation, and visualization, which can generate Broadband (0–100Hz) ground motions at user-specified sites for historical and scenario earthquakes. The Broadband Platform offers a simple interface that enables users to generate reproducible simulation results from a collection of validated methods and provides a useful research tool for scientists and engineers.
