PhD in Geophysics from University of Toronto, specializing in crustal geodynamic modelling; postdocs from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and Jet Propulsion Laboratory in InSAR observation and modelling of volcanic unrest. Currently an Assistant Professor in the Earth Science Department at California State University, Long Beach, but prior to that, taught in the Geoscience Department at Universidad de los Andes in Colombia.
