Intellectual Merit Our research addressed the SCEC goal of clarifying the relative importance of different dynamic weakening mechanisms, and the slip and time scales over which these mechanisms operate.
Broader Impacts This project contributed to the training of a Ph.D. student, in numerical modeling methods, and application to geophysical problems.
