Meeting Registration
The SCEC Annual Meeting will be held at the Hilton Palm Springs, September 7-10, 2025. View the program at: central.scec.org/meetings/2025/am.
To register or submit an abstract, log in to SCEC and complete the form by the deadline.
REGISTRATION FEES
Registration includes access to plenary and poster sessions, the online poster gallery, group meals, and networking events.
Register by August 15, 2025 (5:00pm PT) for the $350 early rate; the fee is $450 after. Registration is a two-step process: (1) Completing the online registration form, and (2) Paying via USC’s secure payment portal. Registration is provisional until payment is received.
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Participants are invited to present recent work aligned with SCEC priorities during the poster sessions. Abstract submission is free of charge. Submit your abstract at: central.scec.org/meetings/2025/am/abstracts
Deadline: August 15, 2025 (5:00pm PT) — no late submissions accepted. Abstract submission is separate from registration.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
SCEC offers Research Travel Awards to support students and early-career researchers presenting earthquake research at professional conferences. Before applying, confirm that no funding is available from your advisor, supervisor, or institution. Assistance is limited and prioritized based on financial need.
Apply by July 31, 2025 (5:00pm PT) at: scec.org/research-travel-awards.
Note: Financial support may include a registration fee waiver. Applicants should complete the online registration but do not pay the fee until you receive a waiver decision. SCEC cannot provide reimbursement after payment is made.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGES
Cancellations by August 29, 2025 are eligible for a full refund minus a $50 cancellation fee. Email scecmeet@usc.edu with your SCEC username, mailing address, and reason. Refunds are issued by check within 4–6 weeks. No refunds after August 29, 2025.
